The figures also show the port’s development as a key pelagic as well as a white fish port.
The harbour handled 101,351 ton in the first Seven moths of this year compared with just 84,034 tonnes last year while gross value rose overall by around £10million from £69.9million to £78.9million.
Whitefish tonnage dropped from 26,853 tons to 26,795 tons but value rose from £34.3 million to just under £40million.
Shellfish volumes rose from 1,941 ton to 3,323 ton and value from £3.7 million to £9.9 million
Mackerel value is down from £25.7 million to £25million but volume rose from 30,583 tons to 34,007 tons.
In the herring and other category, volume rose from 24,657 ton to 37,226 ton with a value up from £6.1 million to £8.5 million.
