Icelandic boatbuilder Trefjar’s latest delivery is a Cleopatra 33, now on its way to the island of Mausund, just outside Trondheim in Norway.
The 11gt Filip has been built at Trefjar’s workshops in Hafnafjörður for Mausund skipper/owner Ståle Myrseth. Filip has a 315hp Doosan L086TIM main engine driving a ZF V-gear. Fitted out for gillnetting and crabbing with traps, and with Hydema gear handling hardware on the deck, the boat also has a hydraulic bowthruster linked to the autopilot.
The wheelhouse has been fitted out with mainly Furuno and MaxSea electronics. Safety equipment is from Viking.
The engine room is aft and the amidships fishroom is designed for twelve 380 litre tubs.
Filip has a heated oilskin store incorporated into the superstructure along with a shower and toilet. The accommodation space forward has three bunks and a well-equipped galley, while the mess area is in the wheelhouse itself.
Filip is expected to start fishing at the end of the month.
