Tess uses the traditional multi-hook shortlinefishing method which is both sustainable and environmentally friendly. ItsartisanalSri Lankan fishing vessels are fully licensed to operate in the FAO 51 fishing zone.
Tess Group processing facilities which include Tropic Frozen Foods, also a Friend of the Sea Certified Company are ISO 22000 certified and fully compliant with the International Food Standards (IFS). Tess Agro are HACCP certified and operate in strict compliance to EU and USA food and safety regulations.

Friend of the Sea is the only certification scheme which has deployed anInternational Monitoring Program to verify the Chain of Custodyof approved suppliers of Friend of the Sea products.
