A new scalloper for Whitelink Seafoods is completing engine trials at Macduff Shipyards ahead of delivery to its owners later this month.
The 19.98-metre, 7.40-metre breadth Eternal Promise is powered by a Mitsubishi S6R2 main engine turning a 2500mm diameter propeller inside a nozzel duct via a Masson Marine W6400 gearbox with a 7.446:1 reduction.
Arranged with deck layout for towing 11 dredges each side, Eternal Promise has a pair of split winches, tipping doors and outriggers fabricated by Macduff, as well as a pair of 7-tonne Bopp gilsons. The deck crane is from Thistle Marine.
Eternal Promise has accommodation for a crew of seven.
