An inquiry is to be held into the death of a crewman who was lost over the side of a scalloper off Shetland.
The King Challenger was fishing west of Scalloway on Thursday last week when the crewman was lost into the water. The rest of the crew were able to get him back on board and a Coastguard helicopter transferred the casualty to hospital where medical teams were unable to save the man’s life.
The incident is being investigated by the Marine Accident Investigation Branch.
