The new pelagic vessel for owners in Scotland has completed the long delivery trip under tow from the Norse yard in Turkey to the Westcon yard in Norway.

Westcon will outfit the new 75.30-metre, 15.80-metre beam Quantus for Ian Buchan and his sons Mark and Stuart. It is expected to operate on conventional pelagic fisheries for herring, mackerel and blue whiting.
The owners have collaborated with design company Salt in the past and have built three new vessels at Norwegian yards since 1988 – although this is the first time they have worked with Westcon Yards.
Another Salt-designed vessel, Trønderbas, is also being outfitted at the Westcon yard, and its steelwork was likewise completed at Norse Shipyard in Turkey.
