Danish fishing company Hametner in Thyborøn has sold its trawler Pernille-Kim R-500 to another Thyborøn company, according to owner John-Anker Hametner.
The trawler was built in steel at the old Johs. Kristensen’s shipyard in Hvide Sande in 1987. Since then it has been been through several refits, including being lengthened and having anew wheelhouse fitted in 1997. Pernille-Kim has an overall length of 39.35 metres and a beam of 7.35 metres. It has six tanks with a 550 cubic metre capacity and a 1200hp ABC 6 DXC-2000 main engine.
Over the years the trawler has shifted home port several times, going from Esbjerg to Hvide Sande in 1990 and then to Thyborøn the following year where it stayed for 14 years. In 2009 it was based in Christiansø and returned to Thyborøn in 2016.
