Germany has agreed to Poland’s demand to move the planned Nord Stream gas pipeline further north so that it will not interfere with marine traffic in Poland’s Szczecin and Swinoujscie ports.
A part of the pipeline – which transport Russian gas to western Europe – will be moved into deeper waters, further north from the Poland’s Baltic shore, with parts of it buried 20 m under the sea bed
