Nine fishermen facing fraud charges connected to the Scottish fishing industry have appeared in court.
The fishermen-Four from Fraserburgh, Two from Peterhead, Two from Barra and One from Portsoy-appeared in court at Peterhead on Thursday January 13.
All Nine were charged with fraud, made no plea or declaration, and the cases were continued for further examination.
A spokesman for the Crown Office. (Courts) said the fishermen were bailed. It is still to be confirmed when they will appear in court again.
The Fraserburgh fishermen were George Bruce, 63, James Duthie, 65, Allan Simpson,41, and 63-year-old Ernest Simpson.
Christopher Anderson, 55, and Ian Buchan, 53, borth from Peterhead, John MacLeod 55, and Micheal MacLeod 32, both from the Isle of Barra and Oswald McRonald, 62 from also appeared.
Full details of the charges will be made at a later date.
