We spoke to Einar Bjarni Einarsson yesterday as he was hauling the last tow of the trip on the Hali grounds and preparing for the 17-hour steam to Reykjavík.
‘We started off on the south coast grounds on redfish and a few boxes of saithe. Then we shifted northwards to the Westfjords grounds where we have been after cod and a few other bits and pieces with it. Mostly we have tried to get haddock with the cod, but fishing for haddock is slow and has been that way all year,’ Einar Bjarni Einarsson said.
