The owner and master of the Belgian-registered vessel Flamingo (Z548) pleaded guilty to the offence of failing to keep an accurate logbook at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court.
Following a routine inspection by marine enforcement officers from the HMS Tyne in ICES sea area VIIg on 20 October 2010, the vessel was detained at Milford Haven for further investigation after being suspected of logbook offences.
The owner’s total fines came to £10,000 plus £600 in costs and a £15 victim surcharge. The master’s total fines came to £7,000 plus £600 in costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
