The English fishing vessel LT 62 Henry Sr., and the Finnish Birka Exporter ro-ro ship, has Monday morning collide thirty kilometers northwest of Vlieland, in the English Channel. Both ships were sustained damage to the hull.
There were no injuries in the accident, but reported significant damage to both vessels. The beam trawler which is about 40 meters long, took water in several places. Two lifeboats delivered pumping equipment and followed the beam trawler to the port of Harlingen.
Ro-Ro vessel had damage in the waterline, and could on its own go Amsterdam for repair.
The accident happened around. 30 km from Vlieland and both ships reported now in port. Subsequently, the circumstances of the accident is now investigated by the Dutch authorities
