Haddock large sold for £154-£171 per 57kg box and all grades of Cod sold for £3-£4 per kg and whiting made £114-£125 per 57 kg box on the first day of the week.
On Monday morning’s market Six landed a total 1846 boxes of white fish which sold at Cod Large £3.00-£4.00, medium £3.00-£4.00, Haddock Large £2.70-£3.00,, Medium £2.70-£3.00, Whiting £2.00-£2.20, Lemon Sole £1.00-£5.00, Metros £1.20-£1.50, Monkfish £4.00-£4.20, Coley £1.20-£1.50, Hake £1.20-£2.30, Witches £1.00-£1.50, and Ling £2.00.
Trawlers landed Shalimar, Ocean Dawn, Courageous, Nordjfordr, Helenus and Moremm.
The following days market Tuesday saw Six boats landed a total of2403 boxes of whitefish which sold for the following Cod Large £3.50-£4.30, Medium £3.00-£4.00, Large Haddock £2.50, Medium £2.50-£2.70, Metros £1.00-£1/30, Whiting £1.90-£2.00, Sole £1.00-£4.00, Monkfish £3.50-£4.50, Megrims £2.00-£4.50, Plaice 70p-£1.50, Hake £2.00-£3.50, Witches £1.00-£1.50 and Ling £2.00.
Boats landed Falcon, Phoenix, Harvest Hope, Tranquility, Shalimar and Content.
On the Wednesday Nine trawlers landed a total of 3053 boxes of white fish which sold at Large Haddock £2.00-£2.60, medium £2.00-£2.50, Cod Large £3.30-£4.20, medium £3..00-£3.50, Whiting £1.30-£2.00, Metros £1.30, Lemon Sole £2.00-£5.00, Monkfish £3.70-£4.30, Coley £1.10-£1.30, Hake £1.50-£3.30, Ling £2.00 and Witches £1.00-£3.00.
Trawlers landed Viking Monarch, Budding Rose, Lapwing, Kiroan, Ocean Bounty, Shailmar, Aalskere, Attain and Castlewood.
The following market day Thursday saw Nine trawlers land a total of 3452 boxes of white fish which sold at Cod Large £3.30-£4.30, Medium £3.30-£4.30, Large Haddock £2.00-£2.50, Medium £2.30-£2.50, Metros £1.10-£1.20, Monkfish £4.00-£4.80, Coley £1.10-£1.30, Lemon Sole £1.00-£5.00, Megrims £2.00-£6.00, Plaice 75p-£1.50, Hake 80p-£2.30, Witches £1.00-£2.10 and Ling £1.50-£1.70.
Trawlers landed Adrone, Denebula, Sunrise, Maimai, Ocean Triumph, Rosemount, Kiroan and Pegasus.
Last market of the week Friday saw the biggest number of trawlers in one day for a long time landing when 29 trawlers landed a total 5316 boxes of white fish which sold for the following Large Cod £3.00-£4.00, Medium, £2.20-£3.00, Haddock large £2.00-£2.20, medium £2.00-£2.20, Metros 75p-90p, Whiting £1.20-£1.50, Lemon Sole £2.00-£5.00. Monkfish £4.40-£4.90, Coley £1.20-£1.40, Megrims £2.00-£6.50, Hake £1.00-£2.00, Plaice 75p-£1.50, Witches £1.00-£1.50 and Ling £1.50-!.70.
Trawlers landed Reslinet, Lapwing, Budding Rose, Avocet, Our Lass, Demares, Summer Dawn, Golden Gain, Serene Ins, Ocean Trust, Reaper, Benarkle, Wanderer, Castlewood, Attain, Golden Splendour, Sagittarius, Favonius, Arcturus, Fear Not, Fruitful Bough, Harvester, Ocean Harvest, Ardent, Advance, Ocean Reward(BCK) Transcend, Our Guide, and Amity.
A total of 59 trawlers landed a total of 16,085 boxes of white fish at Peterhead harbour last week. There were also Seven Pelagic landings of Mackerel which sold for good prices.
At Ullapool Harbour last week two Scottish trawlers landed 56 tonnes of white fish, and Four Spanish trawlers landed 63,5 tonnes. One Scottish crabber landed 9 tonnes of Brown Crabs. The local fishing fleets was tied up due top bad weather.
At Faserburgh Harbour market 137 vessels landed a total of 3,390 boxes of whitefish.
At Pittenweem harbour Fife there was a good landing of prawns and other shell fish during the week which sold for good prices.
For the first time in many years a new shellfish boats was launched the into the village harbour The Genesis KY20 built by local boa builder David Todd for is Son is now working the Firth of Forth for Lobster and Crabs. The new craft is seen here in its home port of Pittenweem.
