The highest level of landings for June continued at Peterhead Fish Market last week when over 10,000 boxes of whitefish were landed for the first today fish sales (Monday/Tuesday June 20-21).
Haddock made £97 per 57kg box with round haddock £69-£80 per 57kg box and Whiting £57-£91 per 57kg box and Coley £46-£68 per 57kg box.
The first market of the week Monday June 20 saw eight trawlers and a total of 6134 boxes of whitefish which sold at market for the following prices Large Cod £2.20-£3.40, Medium £1.80-£2.80, Large Haddock £2.00-£2.50, Medium £2.00-£2.50, Metros £1.00-£1.30, Whiting £1.00-£1.60, Round Whiting 80p-£1.10, Lemon Sole £1.00-£5.50, Monkfish £3.60-£4.20, Coley £1.00-£1.10, Megrims Withdrawn £4.00, Plaice 65p-£1.50, Hake £1.00-£1.50, Witches 60p-£1.40 and Ling £1.00-£1.20.
Trawlers landed Summer Dawn, Golden Gain, Celestial Dawn, Aurelia, Adrone, Ryanwood, Starlight and Starlight Rays.
The following day’s market Tuesday saw Eleven trawlers land a total of 4799 boxes of whitefish which sold at Cod Large £2.50-£3.40, Medium £2.40-£2.80, No Haddock Sold, Metros 90p-£1.00, Whiting £1.00-£1.60, Round Whiting 65p-£1.20, Le lemon Sole 90p-£5.00, Monkfish £2.00-£4.70, Coley 80p-£1.20, Megrims Withdrawn £2.50, Plaice 65p-£1.00, Hake 80p-£1.50, Witches 50p-£1.00 and Ling £1.25-£2.75.
Trawlers Landed Norlan, Guardian Angell, Shalimar, Artemis, Budding Rose, Lapwing, Halton Bank, Crystal Tide, Opportunus, Starlight, and Daisy.
The next market day Wednesday saw another eleven trawlers land a total of 4338 boxes of whitefish which sold at the following prices Haddock Large £2.00-£2.40, Medium £2.00-£2.40, Cod Large £2.50-£3.40, Medium £2.50-£2.80, Metros 90p-£1.30, Whiting 90p-£1.50, Round Whiting 65p-£1.20, Lemon Sole £1.00-£4.00, Monkfish £2.50-£4.70, Coley £1.00-£1.30, No Megrims, Plaice 80p-£2.00, Hake 80p-£2.00, Witches £1.00-£2.00 and Ling £1.10-£1.65.
Trawlers landed Starlight Rays, Boy Andrew, MaiMai, Boy John, Rosebloom, Benarkle, Ocean Reaper, Acorn, Fruitful Bough, Courage and Guardian Angell.
On the next day Thursday saw Seven trawlers land a total of 2976 boxes of whitefish which sold at market for the following prices Cod Large £3.00-£3.80, Medium £2.50-£3.50, Haddock Large £2.20-£2.50, Medium £2.00-£2.30, Metros £1.00-£1.60, Whiting £1.40-£1.80, Round Whiting 75p-£1.30, Lemon Sole £1.00-£5.00, Monkfish £4.00-£5.00, Coley £1.30-£1.40, Megrims Withdrawn £3.75, Plaice 65p-£1.50, Hake 80p-£1.50, Witches 70p-£1.50 and Ling £1.80-£2.20.
Trawlers landed Ocean Reaper, Boy Andrew, Castlewood, Attain, Acheive, Searcher and Golden Sceptre.
The last market of the week Friday saw Thirteen trawlers land a total of 5184 boxes of whitefish which sold at the following prices. Cod Large £2.50-£3.40. Medium £2.20-£2.80, Haddock Large £2.20-£2.70, Medium £2.20-£2.70, Metros £1.00, Whiting £1.00-£1.60, Round Whiting 60p, Lemon Sole £2.00-£4.00, Monkfish £2.50-£4.20, Coley £1.00-£1.50, Megrims £1.00-£4.00, Plaice 65p-££1.50, Hake 80p-£1.50, Witches 80p-£1.50, and Ling £1.50-£1.70.
Trawlers landed Sustan, Surmount, Harvester, Ocean Harvest, Valhalla, Crystal Tide, Allegiance, Nordfjordr, Helenus, Amity, Norlantean, Fear Not (PD) Arcturus and Ardent.
There were landings from 50 trawlers over the week totalling 23,431 boxes of white fish at Peterhead Harbour. There were also Two landings of herring.
At Fraserbugh Harbour last week 79 trawlers landed a total of 4525 boxes of whitefish and prawns which sold at fair prices.
At Scrabster Harbour over the week saw 15 boats land 4,378 boxes of white fish which sold for fair prices.
At Buckie Seven boats landed 644 boxes of white fish prawns and squid and eight bags of Clams which sold for fair prices.
At Pittenweem Harbour Fife the local prawn fleet are still working the firth of Firth of Forth and beyond at the prawn fishing and catches are said to be good with good prices at the local Pittenweem Fish market.
No Prices or landings were available for Ullapool.
