The vessel is a new design by the Yard and is arranged as a twin rig prawn/whitefish trawler. The vessel will operate out of Fraserburgh through Fraserburgh Inshore Fishermen Ltd. The hull form is double chine, with a box type ballast keel.
Macduff Profilers a division of Macduff Shipyards Limited cut the steel kit from cutting information prepared by Macduff Ship Design Limited, and fabrication of the hull was sub-contracted to Richards Dry Dock and Engineering Limited in Great Yarmouth.
The hull was then towed to Macduff for all the engineering work and fitting out to be completed.
The aluminium deckshelter and aluminium wheelhouse were also fabricated and fitted in Macduff.
The steel deckhouse is fitted rail to rail athwartships, with the shelterdeck space forward of the deckhouse being weathertight and the aft deckshelter space being non-weathertight.

A Mitsubishi 6D16T auxiliary engine is arranged on the port side to drive the hydraulic pumps for the deck machinery. The engine is heat exchanger cooled and is rated 169HP. This engine is also arranged to drive a 46kw 415/3/50 generator.
The generator set arranged on the starboard side to the engineroom of a Mitsubishi S6S DT, which is heat exchanger cooled and arranged to drive a 46kw 415/3/50 generator.
