Noirmoutier fisherman Sylvain Gallais has taken delivery of a new shelterdecked netter built by Avizo Pro Marine.
Designed by Nantes naval architect Archi-Delion, the new l’Entêté II replaced Sylvain Gallais’s older 1984-built netter, which was lost in February – adding to the urgency of getting the new boat finished. Another customer also has a boat under construction at the yard, and agreed to have his delivery delayed, allowing the yard to allocate all of its resources to completing l’Entêté II, and with the owner working alongside the yard staff to finish the year-long build process.
The yard, based at Bougouenais, near Nantes, was able to complete the 11.85 metre LOA, 5.63 metre breadth l’Entêté II so that stability testing could be carried out ahead of delivery to the customer before the end of June.
According to Avizo Pro Marine’s owner Olivier Bissonet, the brief was for a completely tailor-made netter, with a large working deck and a high wheelhouse to provide optimum visibility.
