The organizers of the “North Atlantic Fish Fair” have decided to change the identity of the exhibition in connection with the upcoming Fish Fair, which will take place for the seventh time in the Faroe Islands in 2015.
North Atlantic Fish Fair
When the exhibition was launched in 2001, the organizers chose using the name “North Atlantic Fish Fair”, being the most obvious name at that time, as the fishing and fish farming industries were the most visible and tangible sectors in the Faroese maritime industry at the time. They still are, and will undoubtedly continue to be so, but today, however, we see more and more companies within the offshore industry offering their services, and many of the visitors at the exhibition are also working within this industry.
Atlantic Fair
Although the fishing industry will still be the spine of the future exhibition in the Faroe Islands, the organizers have decided to change the identity of the fair using the new name ”Atlantic Fair”, focusing in this way on the ENTIRE maritime industry.
Most companies, exhibiting at the fair, offer their services to the entire maritime industry, thus the exhibition will reach wider and approach all branches of the industry.
The growing Faroese offshore industry, as well as other maritime industries, are more visible in the Faroese waters – passenger ships e.g. – as well as the location of the Faroe Islands being important, now the Northwest Passage is the centre of attention as a new route for sailing.
New logo
Grafia has designed a new visual identity for Atlantic Fair, which portrays the company in a contemporary, progressive and dynamic manner, and will help to build a consistent image of the company across industries.
Klaksvík, Faroe Islands, from May 12-14, 2015
The municipality of Klaksvík (Klaksvíkar Kommuna) and Atlantic Fair have made an agreement that the exhibition will take place in Klaksvík from the 12th to the 14th of May 2015 at the local sport’s halls (Badminton- and KÍ-høllin).
158 companies, representing 15 countries, exhibited at the Fish Fair, and approx. 4.500 people visited the exhibition in 2013.
