Comar Systems has unveiled its latest high performance AIS product, the Class A CSA-300 Transponder. With a compact single unit design, installation and configuration of the CSA-300 is straightforward. The system provides quick access to data and menus and will receive information from all vessels transmitting Class A or B AIS, base stations, aids to navigation, AIS SARTs, plus text and safety related messages.

With several pair trawlers working together on trips to the fishing grounds, white fish landings increased at the beginning of last week at Peterhead Fish Market Scotland’s premier fishing port when over 9,000 boxes landed for the first two days market and gave buyers a choice more than in recent weeks.

Scottish fisheries have been awarded nearly £11million in European funding, it has been confirmed. A total of 144 companies are to share the £10.9million grant from the European Fisheries Fund. The Scottish Government said the funding could protect and create about 3,500 jobs in the fishing industry.
