Icelandic boatbuilder Trefjar has delivered a new Cleopatra 36 fast fishing boat to Ålseund skipper Kjetil Måløy.
The 14gt Safir has been delivered to Ålseund and has already begun fishing using gear and deck hardware for netting that was supplied locally after delivery from the yard in Iceland.
Safir has a 650hp FPT C13 main engine driving a ZF V-gear. Fitting out in Iceland included the installation of mainly Furuno electronics and an autopilot linked to the hydraulic side thruster to facilitate manoeuvring at low speeds while hauling.
The midships fishroom has capacity for fifteen 380 litre tubs.
Access to the accommodation forward is via the wheelhouse, and there are three full-sized berths below, as well as a fully-equipped galley and mess area. A toilet and shower are part of the wheelhouse structure.
Safir’s safety equipment was supplied by Viking.
