Aurelien Dumon who fishes from Royan on France’s Atlantic coast has taken delivery of a new Cleopatra from Icelandic boatbuilder Trefjar.
Skipper/owner Aurelien Dumon’s new P’tit Zico is an 11gt Cleopatra Fisherman 33 powered by a Scania D9 main engine driving a ZF286IV gearbox.
Intended primarily for netting and line fishing, P’tit Zico is also fitted out to tow a small trawl for catching live bait.
The insulated midships fishroom has space for twelve 380 litre tubs and the accommodation is located forward with bunks for three and a well fitted-out galley and mess area in the wheelhouse.
P’tit Zico is expected to start fishing in mid-February and to operate all year round from Royan with a crew of three.
