Construction has started on a new crabber for English fishing company Waterdance.
Scheduled for completion by May 2022, the new 21 metre crabber will become Winter of Ladram and will be skippered by Richard Carroll who is currently skipper of the Nichola of Ladram.
‘As part of the modernisation of the Waterdance fleet, and our continued investment in the UK fishing industry, we have contracted Whitby-based Parkol Marine Engineering to build a new 21 metre crabber,’ A Waterdance spokesperson said.
‘This new vessel represents another major milestone for the Waterdance fleet, following the construction of crabber Nichola of Ladram in 2019, new beam trawler Georgina of Ladram in 2020 and netter Amanda of Ladram in 2021.
