A tuna seiner with a chequered career behind it has already been outfitted with deck equipment from Marco, but the vessel’s owners have opted to augment the deck layout.
Win Power 707 has been built at the Ching Fu shipyard in Taiwan. The H105 design is based in the Campbell purse seiner arrangement, and this vessel was originally commissioned by French owners to be launched as Via Marina. Before completion, it subsequently changed hands to became Tautaloa, but the purchaser was not able to complete the construction.
Acquired by Taiwanese owners, it became Win Power 707, a 78.86 metre by 14.66 metre breadth tuna purse seiner with a 1300 cubic metre tank capacity.
Win Power 707 was outfitted with a full Marco hydraulic system, as well as Marco’s WS-586 purse seine winch and PB-78 Power Block.
Additional equipment now being added by Marco includes a set of 3.8-tonne auxiliary winches that will work the auxiliary topping booms. For control, joysticks are being installed on the deck control console, enabling faster and more efficient operation during fishing manoeuvres.
