Faroese fishing company Varðin has sold its pelagic vessel Tróndur í Gøtu to new owners in Norway.
Delivered by Karstensens in Skagen in 2010, the 81.60-metre, 16.60-metre breadth Tróndur í Gøtu was designed by Vik-Sandvik and has a 2700 cubic metre RSW tank capacity. After 14 years of operating successfully for Varðin, it will be handed over to its new owners in Norway in May.
The current Finnur Friði, built in 2003, will catch Tróndur í Gøtu’s quotas.
A new 88-metre Finnur Friði is currently under construction at Karstensen for Varðin and is expected to be delivered in May this year.
