The second in a series of small-scale seine netters has been delivered to the Lenin Fishing Collective Farm in Kamchatka.
This follows the delivery of the lead vessel in the planned series of six, Apache, which was completed in April.
The third and fourth in the series are expected to be completed in December this year, with the fifth and sixth vessels scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2025.
These seiners are designed to operate locally, landing fresh catches for processing ashore, and are built under the Russian government’s investment quotas initiative.
So far, three medium-sized fishing vessels, two small-scale seiners and seven fish processing plants have been built in Kamchatka under the initiative.
