Brunvoll has contracted to supply a complete propulsion, thruster, and dynamic positioning system for a new live fish carrier ordered by AquaShip/Intership.
This system is designed to ensure that the vessel can operate efficiently under a variety of demanding conditions. Brunvoll will also provide a set of four thrusters to enhance manoeuvrability and positioning capabilities. The inclusion of the BruCon propulsion and thruster control (PTC) system offers seamless integration for both propulsion and thruster units, facilitating optimal vessel performance.
A key feature of this contract is the delivery of Brunvoll’s advanced Dynamic Positioning (DP) system. This system will ensure precise and stable positioning of the well boat, assisting in complex operations at fish farming facilities. The DP system integrates the latest technological advancements, providing robust performance and safety features that meet the stringent requirements of modern industrial aquaculture operations.
‘We are delighted to again partner with AquaShip / Intership on this project,’ said Vidar Liaskar, VP Sales at Brunvoll AS.
‘Our team is committed to delivering a solution that not only meets but exceeds the operational requirements of the new well boat. This contract underscores Brunvoll’s position as a leader in maritime propulsion, maneuvering, and positioning solutions.’
The new vessel is designed by Salt Ship Design and is to be built at Zamakona Shipyards in Spain. It is to be equipped with a comprehensive battery-hybrid power system, and a reverse osmosis (RO) system for freshwater production. AquaShip / Intership has focused on the use of freshwater treatment for louse and Amoebic Gill Disease (AGD).
AquaShip/Intership has 38 vessels in operation, and four vessels currently under construction.
