Fishing and processing company Hraðfrystihús Hellissands, based in the west of Iceland, has acquired Danish trawler/seine netter Pia Glanz L-654.
Pia Glanz was built at Vestværft in 2019 for John Christensen and partners Brian Kjærgaard Jensen and Jannich Christensen, and at the time it replaced an older vessel of the same name that was sold to Dutch owners to operate under the Belgian flag as Sola Gratia Z-300.
Pia Glanz has a 33.25 metre overall length with a 9.40 metre beam and a depth to the shelterdeck of 6.78 metres, laid out with a forward wheelhouse and a spacious aft deck.
The deck arrangement is for both trawling and seine netting, with equipment supplied by Thyborøn Skibs & Motor. This is a pair of seine reels with capacity for 4000 metres of 54mm rope, plus three trawl winches with a 21-tonne pull. Pia Glanz has a 750kW Mitsubishi main engine and twin John Deere gensets.
