Pelagic trawler Maartje Theodora ROS-171 has been given a winch systems upgrade with the addition of an Electrical Spooling Gear (ESG) system with controls and touch screen.
Built in 2000, Maartje Theodora is operated by Westbank HochseeFischerei GmbH, a subsidiary of the Dutch fishing group Parlevliet & Van der Plas B.V. The Naust Marine ESG system will ensure safe and reliable spooling and is a positive upgrade to the vessel’s deck machinery, allowing the wheelhouse team to easily adjust speed, and for different diameters of wire to ensure consistent spooling.
This Electrical Spooling Gear (ESG) system was delivered as a stand-alone package which can easily fit the winch type on board with minimum modification.
