Parkol Marine Engineering’s Middlesbrough yard has delivered a new crabber for owners in Orkney.
Built for Celtic Dawn Fishing Ltd, Carvela K-751 will be fishing from Kirkwall.
The 19 metre shelterdecked crabber has a 16.49 metre registered length and is fitted out to work with a crew of up to eight. It has a 360kW Mitsubishi S6A3-MPTAW driving a four-bladed bronze screw propeller via a Reintjes WAE247L 7.043:1 reduction gearbox.
Auxiliary engines are a pair of Mitsubishi 6D16-T 106s.
The deck layout has a 2-tonne pedestal-mounted Britannia hydraulic slave hauler, as well as a Rapp HHM005 rope hauler.
