Engineering and ship repair company Kynde & Toft is going through some changes, with some new blood at management level and some heavyweight investors taking on some of the ownership.
Kynde & Toft’s owner and director Niels Olaf Vinther Jensen aims to take a step back as Simon Høj, Christian Rasmussen and Bjarke Toelberg Vinther become part of the ownership of the company, which has built up a strong reputation for the quality of its work servicing the Danish fishing fleet, its growing client base within the offshore and specialised shipping sectors, and its activities centred around Thyborøn’s floating dock that has brought a good deal of traffic to the port.
The company is getting an injection of capital in the form of investment by local firms Thyborøn Gruppen ApS and Blaakjær Finans ApS.
Michael Lodahl, Christian Wichmann Rasmussen and Jens Peter Langer, who are all involved in other exciting companies in and around Thyborøn Harbour are behind Thyborøn Gruppen. Blaakjær Finans is owned by the Normann Andersen family, which is prominent in and around Thyborøn.
‘We believe in the future and in Kynde & Toft,’ said Michael Lodahl.
‘Kynde & Toff have been an important player in the business of servicing the maritime sector for many years, and we believe that together we will move forward. This can only strengthen and develop our position in the market.’
He commented that the outside world is also opening its eyes to the fact that something special happens in Thyborøn, that everyone in the new ownership circle has a positive look at Kynde & Toft’s future, and that it also continue to develop and increase expertise – especially in hydraulics, engines and advanced mechanical applications.
Niels Olaf Vinther Jensen takes over the position of sales manager, while Simon Høj, Christian Rasmussen and Bjarke Toelberg Vinther will take over responsibility for the daily operations of each of their business areas. Project manager Bjarke Toelberg Vinther is appointed as the administrative director of the company.
