The Federation’s former chairman, Mike Cohen, has been appointed its new deputy chief executive, taking over from Dale Rodmell at the beginning of January.
‘Dale Rodmell has built a solid reputation for a careful analytical approach to representing our membership. In particular, he has done exceptionally valuable work in the area of environmental protection, spatial pressures and in building our regional committees,’ said NFFO chief executive Barrie Deas.
‘Our best wishes go with him. He will remain however, at the heart of the Federation’s work as CEO of the East of England Fish Producers Organisation, and member of the Executive Committee.’
He commented that Mike Cohen is very well known in the fishing industry as former Chief Executive of the Holderness Fishing Industry Group and as the NFFO’s Chairman during 2016-18.
‘His return to the frontline in fishing politics will be widely welcomed given his legal and scientific background and wealth of practical experience in the industry,’ he said.
