Bobby Polson and the owners of the Shetland pelagic vessel Serene have placed an order for a new vessel.
The deal was signed at the Skipper Expo in Aberdeen yesterday for an 82 metre overall pelagic vessel with a 17.20 metre beam and a 12.35 metre depth to the first deck. Engines are to be supplied by MAN with a 12VL32/44CR main engine and a pair of 6L21/31 gensets. The new Serene’s deck equipment package has been ordered from Karmøy Winch and the RSW system from Johnson Controls.
