The Lundberg family who fish from Gratangen in Norway have ordered a new pelagic trawler/purse seiner for delivery in 2019 from Karstensens in Skagen.
The hull of the new Odd Lundberg is scheduled to be delivered to the Karstensens yard at Skagen in June 2019, with an October completion date.
Odd Lundberg is the latest in a series of pelagic vessels ordered from the yard for owners in Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The new pelagic vessel measures 69.99 metres overall with a beam of 15.20 metres.
The main engine is planned to be a 3600kW MAN 6L32/44 driving a Scana Volda gearbox and propeller. Auxiliaries are one 992kW and two 567kW Cummins units. The thrusters are to come from Brunvoll.
Rapp marine will supply the electric trawl winch package and the deck cranes are to come from Triplex.
Johnson Controls will supply the 2 x 1100kW RSW system and the vacuum is to be supplied by C-Flow.
