Icelandic boatbuilder Trefjar has delivered a new Cleopatra to skipper/owner Steinar Sandnes who fishes from Napp in the Lofoten Islands.
The new Vikberg is a 14gt Cleopatra 36, fitted with a 650hp FPT C13 main engine driving a ZF V-gearbox. The boat has been fitted out with mainly JRC electronics and also has two hydraulic side thrusters that are linked to the autopilot. Safety equipment has been supplied by Viking.
Vikberg has been rigged by the owner on arrival in Norway for longlining. The midships fishroom has space for fifteen 380 litre tubs.
The accommodation in the forward section has been finished to a high standard with bunks for a crew of three, a shower and toilet below, and with a mess and galley area on the port side of the wheelhouse.
Vikberg has begun fishing from Lofoten.
