St Malo fishing gear company Morgère has appointed François Charrayre as its new design engineer.
François joins Morgère from electricity utility company EDF where for the last three years he worked as a research engineer. In his new role with Morgère, he will be responsible for the development of new designs of trawl doors and associated fishing equipment.
‘François brings to Morgère much experience in engineering design and will play a vital role as we continue our development programme for innovative new types of trawling systems,’ said Michel Dagorn, director of Morgère.
In recent years, Morgère has successfully developed the Exocet trawl door and the Cyclops pair trawl monitoring system. The company is now looking to build upon these successes by developing further new designs.
‘I’m delighted to be joining Morgère at this exciting time for the company and look forward to playing my part in ensuring that fishing vessels are equipped with the best possible trawl gear,’ François Charrayre said.
