Marco has supplied a full package of deck equipment for Dongwon’s new purse seiner Bonami, delivered by the Daesun yard at Busan in Korea.
As in previous installations carried out for Dongwon fishing vessels, Marco has installed an improved variable flow hydraulic power system with load-sensing technology and constant power system.
New vessel Bonami also has Marco’s Marbox monitoring system, which provides real-time display and record monitoring the hydraulic system’s status, including the working parameters of the main purse seine winch and power block. On board and remote monitoring is available and Marco also provides a recorded data analysis service based on PowerBI tool.
In recent years, Dongwon has been leading the modernisation in Korean fisheries as it has built six new vessels over the last five years, and Marco has become a key technological partner on this process. The 2200gt, helicopter-equipped Bonami is now in its first trip in the Pacific under skipper Choi Yun-Jin
