Håvard Gjelseth is stepping down from his role as managing director of Norwegian Greentech. Thor Valsø-Jørgensen has been appointed interim managing director.
Norwegian Greentech is a supplier of ballast water treatment systems and other systems for purification of water for use in the aquaculture industry and in the maritime sector.
‘Håvard was one of the co-founders of Norwegian Greentech in 2011. He has been a vital part of developing the company’s core technologies and firmly establishing it as an internationally renowned supplier of ballast water treatment systems and other water treatment solutions. We are deeply thankful for benefiting from his dedication over the past 15 years and we respect his decision to step down from the role as managing director,‘ said Gunnar Larsen, chairman of Norwegian Greentech and CEO of the company’s parent group HAV Group ASA.
‘After fifteen rewarding years at Norwegian Greentech, the time has come for me to pursue new challenges. It has been an exciting journey, and I am proud of what we have built together over the years,’ Håvard Gjelseth said.

Thor Valsø-Jørgensen has been appointed as interim managing director of Norwegian Greentech. He is a senior industrial executive with extensive operational leadership experience in project-based manufacturing, maritime, offshore, and renewable energy industries.
