After a couple of years during which Covid ruled out practically every industry event and exhibition, the Irish Skipper is back, taking place for the first time at its new venue in Limerick.
The doors of the 2022 Irish Skipper exhibition open today, now that exhibitors have put the finishing touches to their stands, and this year there’s a strong presence, including more than 40 new exhibitors attending for the first time.
‘After two challenging years caused by the pandemic, we are tremendously excited to finally be on-site here in Limerick for Irish Skipper Expo 2022, and we are anticipating a large visitor attendance,’ said show organiser Mara Media’s Commercial Fishing Manager Sharon Boyle.
‘Irish Skipper Expo 2002 will provide the perfect opportunity for a welcome reunion among fishermen and the wider industry, offering lots of opportunities to conduct business in a friendly and convivial atmosphere, with a bar and catering facility also in the exhibition hall.’
Sponsored by Irish seafood development agency BIM, and leading marine insurer Arachas, the event will, for the first time, bring all the exhibitors together under one roof in the spacious exhibiting hall at the attractive new venue of the UL Sport Arena in Limerick ( PO – V94XT66).
There will be vessel displays in the outside arena, giving visitors the opportunity to see at first-hand some of the latest fishing vessel designs on the market. The outside area will also feature displays from the Coastguard and BIM’s Coastal Training Unit, as well as engines, rigging and handling solutions.
Visitors can register at the entrance of the expo, but those looking to beat the queues can pre-register here.
Irish Skipper Expo 2022 takes place at UL Sport Arena in Limerick 25th-26th March, from 10am-6pm on Friday 25th and 10am-4pm on Saturday 26th.
