Falklands-registered factory trawler Igueldo will head for a refit this autumn and its owners have contracted for a full new deck equipment installation from Naust Marine.
The 83 metre LOA, 14 metre breadth Igueldo was built in 1989, and will undergo a refit ahead of the 2022 squid season.
According to Naust Marine, the trawler will emerge a more efficient and modern vessel once the new winches have been matched to modifications that were already carried out last year.
For the deck equipment installation, Naust Marine will supply a pair of 62-tonne trawl winches with an Automatic Trawl Winch (ATW) control system, as well as 30-tonne sweepline winches, 35-tonne gilsons, 22-tonne codend winches, a pair of 18-tonne auxiliary winches and 5-tonne capstans.
The package also includes a full set of electric cabinets and a water cooling system for the winches, as well as all the necessary controls and panels.
