Construction of freezer trawler Olupale for Seacope Freezer Fishing in Namibia is making progress at the Armón Navia Shipyard.
This is the third order from this part of the world in the last two years for Ibercisa, which is designing and supplying the deck machinery for the new trawler.
Ibercisa is delivering two electrically driven 320kW, 35-tonne trawl winches and a 30-tonne net drum, as well as sweepline, outhaul and codend winches, plus anchor and shiphandling winches
The winch package comes with an integrated fishing system which includes Scantrol control, with a pair of wheelhouse control screens and an engine room screen to provide alerts for possible alarms.
Thanks to the alliance with Siemens, the electrical equipment, motors and frequency variators, are supplied with two AFE (Active Front Ends) of 380kW which allow for energy regeneration, in this case largely routed to the main PTO, with an extremely low harmonics level (less than 3%).
The system also includes liquid refrigeration of the electrical motors for the main winches.
The Ibercisa fishing system is equipped with a data registration system and a remote control access system which permits data analysis to help the operator monitor adjustments from the operations base as well as to maintain remote support 24/7 from Ibercisa technicians.
This is carried out in co-ordination with local technical service in Namibia, Export Radopa, providing an level of after sales technical assistance.
