Ålesund fisherman Stein Magne Hoff has taken delivery of a new Cleopatra from Trefjar in Iceland, aiming to focus on rod-and-line fishing for bluefin tuna, while also being able to work pots for langoustine.
The 10.99-metre Havbris has a 3.80 metre beam is expected to start fishing shortly. Although Havbris is a largely standard Cleopatra, it has twin 480hp FPT N67’s engines driving a pair of ZF286IV transmissions. Additional power is provided by a Nanni 9kW generator fitted in the aft engine room.
The fishroom amidships is designed for 380-litre tubs, which can be lifted ashore using the TMP220L crane on deck.
The forward wheelhouse is outfitted with Furuno electronics, with the bow and stern thrusters linked to the autopilot to activate automatically as required. The port side of the wheelhouse is fitted out with a galley and dining area for five.
