Trefjar has delivered a new Cleopatra 36 to Båtsfjord skipper/owner Jens-Einar Bjørkås Johnsen.
The 11 metre, 14gt Bjørkåsbuen is a Cleopatra Fisherman 36 built at Trefjar’s yard at Hafnarfjörður in Iceland.
Bjørkåsbuen is rigged for longlining, with a Mustad longline hauler and further deck gear that was sourced in Norway.
Bjørkåsbuen has an aft engine room with a 650hp FPT C13 main engine driving a ZF V-gear reduction box. The midships fishroom has capacity for fifteen 380-litre tubs and the forward section is fitted out with accommodation that includes three berths in the cabin below and a shower/toilet.
The wheelhouse has been fitted with JRC and Comnav electronics, as well as an Olex plotter system. Bjørkåsbuen’s hydraulic bow thruster is linked to the autopilot, assisting with keeping the boat on track when hauling at slow speeds.
Safety equipment on board is from Viking.
Bjørkåsbuen has already been delivered to Norway and has started fishing.
