The 2024 Scottish Skipper Expo in Aberdeen is looking to be the biggest yet, and the decision to make this an event taking place every second year has ensured that companies don’t want to miss out on what is exected to become a unique showcase for the UK fishing sector.
‘We are delighted with the response to this year’s event, with companies from around the world eager to secure their stand space to ensure that they are part of the bi-annual event,’ said Mara Media’s Commercial Fishing Manager Sharon Boyle.
‘This is the biggest dedicated commercial fishing show in the UK and we go to great efforts to make sure that every top quality product and service on the market will be there.’
With more than 130 companies confirmed to exhibit at present, the 2024 Scottish Skipper Expo looks set to break records, and the shift to a weekday event has been widely welcomed as the Thursday 9th – Friday 10th May dates offer a greater range of travel options for international visitors and a greater opportunity for all locals to attend as it no longer clashes with weekend events.
There’s also a new layout to the expo that provides more space for vessels to be displayed.
‘With six vessels now confirmed to be on display inside the exhibition hall, we are delighted that visitors will get the chance to see a range of boat designs and have the opportunity to then speak to all of the suppliers under the one roof – for those looking to build or buy, that is an unmissable opportunity,’ Sharon Boyle said.
Sponsored by the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation (SFF) and the Peterhead Port Authority, the 12th Scottish Skipper Expo will feature many new exhibitors and a strong representation of international companies, all showcasing the very best products and services available to the commercial fishing industry.
